Neologisms are words and terms that have recently been "coined" and generally do not appear in any dictionary. Avoid using neologisms when creating articles on Wikipedia, unless they are part of the subject being covered and need to be explained (in such a case be sure to define the new words). Neologisms include words made up on the spot, and these should never be used in a Wikipedia article. Wikipedia relies on established English to explain its subjects. It is important that every word in Wikipedia can be understood by those who read it. This ensures that Wikipedia always conveys accessible and meaningful knowledge. I ascribe to both immediatism and eventualism. I am not an inclusionist or deletionist.
Immediatism tenets:
- Fair use images are okay if no free one is likely to be uploaded anytime soon, especially if the use does not harm the owner of the copyright. (Inclusionist)
- New articles should establish or assert notability. (Deletionist)
- New articles should not have considerable advertisement, even if notable. If it does have considerable advertisement, deletion and restarting is preferred. (Neutral)
- New articles should not be created if they are better served in a main article. (Deletionist)
Eventualism tenets:
- Useful and true information should be included, regardless of the current "notability".(Inclusionist)
- Context is everything. (Neutral)
