Ted Zigmunt is a Democratic Party member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 2nd Assembly District after defeating incumbent Frank Lasee in the November 2008 election. He will serve as a member of the committees on Corrections and the Courts, Transportation, and Energy and Utilities. [1]

Representative Zigmunt proposed $47,000 for recycling bins for the Town of Wrightstown which was included by the Joint Finance Committee. This earmark has been highly criticized as as an unneeded expenditure while Wisconsin faces a nearly $7 billion budget deficit.
