Qena (Arabic: قنا) is a city in Upper Egypt, and the capital of the Qena Governorate. It is situated on the east bank of the Nile. Qena was known as Kaine during the Greco-Roman period.
Qina has witnessed major restorations, and came third in the UNESCO City Beauty contest.
