Paul Frölich (1884-1953) was a German communist, and biographer of Rosa Luxemburg.

Paul Frölich was born into a German working class family, the second child of eleven. He was educated at Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) schools where he studied under Rosa Luxemburg and then joined the party in 1902. He was one of the founders of the Communist Party of Germany (KPD) in 1918. Expelled from the party in 1928, he joined the Communist Party Opposition (KPD-O), and in 1932 the Socialist Workers' Party of Germany (SAP).

His partner since the 20s was the communist Rosi Wolfstein (1888-1987), whom he married in 1948.
