State Route 487 covers portions of Baker Road, an east-west. The State Route designation is applied to the portion of Baker Road From Cattleguard at UT/NV State line to US 6. This route is designated as a Nevada Scenic Byway.[2]
The state has plans to abandon this road from the state highway system.[citation needed]
