The Madison Museum of Contemporary Art (MMoCA), formerly known as the Madison Art Center, is an art museum located in Madison, Wisconsin. The museum is part of Overture Center for the Arts, and was the final portion of the center to open. It features two large galleries as well as the smaller Henry Street Gallery. Other highlights include a rooftop terrace, the Fresco restaurant, and a museum store. A three-story glass "icon" on the corner of State and Henry Streets serves as the museum's main staircase, as well as its architectural landmark.
[edit] Admissions and funding
The museum is free to the public. It obtains most of its funding from memberships, private gifts, and the annual Art Fair on the Square.
