- Do not confuse with the Kejia, also known as the Hakka
The Gejia (Chinese: [亻革]家人 or 革家人 — the first character should have the human radical 亻; Hanyu pinyin: Géjiā Rén) is an ethnic group found in Guizhou province, southwestern China. They are officially classified as a part of the Miao (Hmong) ethnicity not all Gejia self-identify as such[citation needed].
The Gejia live mainly in Qiandongnan Prefecture, in the counties of Huangping, Kaili, and Guanling. The Gejia population is approximately 50,000.
Their dialect is a variety of Hmong and it is recognised as the Chong's sub-dialect.
