CFR Timişoara is a Romanian football team from Timişoara, Timiş County founded in 1933. They are now playing in Liga II.

The team's best season was 1947-48, when they finished second in the Divizia A 1947–48 and reached the Romanian Cup final. However ITA Arad finished in front in both cases.

Originally founded in 1919, under the name CS Sparta CFR, which in 1929 is merging with Unirea, and becomes Sparta Unirea CFR. In 1927, Sparta Unirea CFR, under-dissolves, and re-joins since 1933 as CFR Timisoara.
