Edmund "Eddie" Boot (born October 15, 1915) was a professional footballer and football manager. He was born in Laughton Common.
Between 1937 and 1952, he played 42 Division 2 games for Sheffield United followed by 305 Division 1 matches for Huddersfield Town. In the post-war period he captained the side. He then became their manager later in his career.
