The Convent of Santa Isabel is a royal monastery Augustine order of nuns founded by the wife of Philip II of Spain, doña Margarita de Austria. It is located in central Madrid, near the Atocha Train Station, at numbers 46 y 48 of Santa Isabel Street. A school for girls there had been founded by King Philip II of Spain . It is since April, 1995 a "bien de interés cultural" and monument under the administration of the Patrimonio Nacional. The architect during the 18th century was Gómez de Mora.
